| The Swiss franc as the perfect alternative to the uncertain US dollar and the euro. |
| The franc is the currency and legal tender of Switzerland and Liechtenstein. However, it is officially used in four countries, since the Italian exclave Campione d'Italia and the German exclave Büsingen also use the Swiss franc. Franc banknotes are issued by the central bank of Switzerland, the Swiss National Bank, while coins are issued by the federal mint, Swissmint. The Swiss franc is also considered to be one of the worlds premier currencies, with virtually zero inflation and historically backed by at least 40% gold reserves. The Swiss franc has always been one of the strong currencies held by many governments in their Reserves. |
